Our Objective.

Laying the first foundations
of a shared data space in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

Data Interoperability

Harmonize and structure health data
to facilitate its use in research.

Analysis and Innovation

Transform data into knowledge
to improve prevention and decision-making.

Regional Cooperation

Connect expert communities of practice
around the use of large-scale data.

Building a Shared Health Data Space for the Cooperation Zone

The SAVOIR project aims to lay the foundations for a shared data space across the Latin America and Caribbean region to strengthen research, innovation, and regional cooperation. Every piece of shared data and every scientific collaboration is based on three fundamental principles.

Trust and Data Governance

Data protection and compliance with international regulatory frameworks form the foundation of the project. SAVOIR implements robust governance, security, and interoperability mechanisms to ensure reliable, ethical, and secure data sharing.

Scientific Excellence and Data Quality

Data are harmonized, standardized, and analyzed using rigorous scientific methods. This approach enables the production of reliable knowledge to support biomedical research, epidemiological surveillance, and public health policies.

Regional Cooperation and Innovation

SAVOIR brings together researchers, institutions, and healthcare stakeholders across the cooperation area. By facilitating data sharing, skills transfer, and the development of innovative tools, the project strengthens regional capacities to address health challenges.
