Building a Shared Data Space for the Cooperation Zone

The main objective of the SAVOIR project is to lay the foundations of a common real-world data space in the Caribbean region and to provide multidisciplinary responses to the challenges of the cooperation area.

Data Infrastructure and Governance

Data protection and compliance with international regulatory frameworks form the foundation of the project. SAVOIR relies on robust, secure, and interoperable infrastructures to ensure reliable, ethical, and controlled data sharing.

Skills Development

SAVOIR includes a strong human and organizational dimension through a structured training ecosystem. The goal is to develop skills in digital health, as well as in the management and analysis of real-world big data.

Data Structuring and Valorization

Data is harmonized, standardized, and organized within a common framework. This structuring enables the production of reliable and comparable knowledge, supporting research, epidemiological surveillance, and public health decision-making.

Our Partners

The SAVOIR project is built on a network of committed partners from the fields of healthcare, research, and innovation across the Caribbean, Europe, and Latin America.
Centered around the University Hospital of Martinique (CHU de Martinique), the project lead, a true community of expert practice is taking shape, bringing together leading institutions such as the Fundación Valle del Lili, CARPHA, in collaboration with the DOMASIA team (Massive Data and Learning Health Information Systems) of the LTSI (Signal and Image Processing Laboratory), UMR INSERM 1099 – University of Rennes.

This collaboration combines technological and organizational expertise to address the challenges of digital health within the INTERREG Caribbean VI 2021–2027 cooperation area. Beyond a simple partnership, SAVOIR is building a sustainable network for scientific cooperation, promoting knowledge sharing, the development of joint projects, and the strengthening of local capacities for the direct benefit of the cooperation area.

The SAVOIR project was born from a shared commitment to bring these strengths together in order to strengthen the capacities of each territory. Rather than developing isolated solutions, we chose to build a regional network based on knowledge sharing, training, and innovation around real-world data.
